Dear Students, Dear PhD Students,
Due to the measures taken to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus among the academic community of the Silesian University of Technology and subsequent cases of COVID-19 in Poland, we would like to inform you that direct contacts between University employees and employees' contacts with students and PhD students are being limited to the necessary minimum.
The basic form of contact is e-mail correspondence and telephone contact. Filing or receiving documents in person will only be possible in justified and urgent cases - after prior arrangements by phone or by e-mail. The place and time of submitting or receiving documents will be indicated by the staff of the Student Service Office. All cases will be considered individually.
Currently, legislative activities are underway to eliminate the need to confirm the validity of student IDs. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education predicts extending their validity until May 31 by law by swift amendment of the regulations. A similar solution will apply to doctoral IDs.
Because of the current epidemiological situation, for the sake of shared health security, please follow the instructions and guidelines of the employees of the Silesian University of Technology.
At the same time, we advise you to follow the recommendations of the State Sanitary Inspection and follow the guidelines of the sanitary services in the field of quarantine and hygiene rules.
Please use only reliable sources of information about coronavirus, which you will find on public institutions' websites at: www.gis.gov.pl, gov.pl/koronawirus and by calling the free helpline of the National Health Fund 800-190-590. Current information for the academic community of the Silesian University of Technology is published on the University's website at: www.polsl.pl. www.polsl.pl
