The Silesian University of Technology entered into agreement with the Kiev University

The Silesian University of Technology expands professional network with other foreign universities. On Friday, 18 January, representatives of our university and the Kiev National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture entered into agreement setting out directions for future collaboration.
The agreement with the Kiev University anticipates collaboration in the field of education, research and administration. This mainly indicates the exchange of scientific and research staff and students, providing help to students undergoing apprenticeships, collaboration in the field of broadly understood didactics and implementation of research programmes, as well as joint scientific support to participants of doctoral studies.
- The Silesian University of Technology collaborates intensively with foreign universities. However, since the time of Poland's accession to the European Union we’ve noticed a very significant increase in this type of collaboration- said the representative of our university, Professor Tomasz Trawiński, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education - The idea of exchanging scientific and didactic staff broadens our horizons and shows how to develop science and education paths. Scientific-research collaboration and exchange of experience are the key to success today, both in educational dimension and in professional practice- added Professor Trawiński.
- As a representative of the Ukrainian party, I am very pleased with the opportunity to establish collaboration with the Silesian University of Technology, one of the leading engineering universities in Poland. Our universities share a very similar profile of scientific and didactic activity, which will further facilitate our collaboration. I will opt for the development of all directions of collaboration specified in the agreement - said Professor Volodymyr Tkachenko, Rector of the Kiev National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
The agreement was concluded for the period of five years, but both parties have already expressed their will to extend their collaboration in the future.
