Institute of Education and Communication Research - International cooperation

The Institute places special emphasis on the development of international cooperation with foreign institutions worldwide. Internationalization and faculty exchange play a major role in superior quality of teaching and research we provide. In order to build a leading position in the international academia, we cooperate with a number of visiting professors from leading European and American academic centres. It is our firm belief that the Institute’s research and educational offer will benefit from such a fusion of viewpoints and teaching styles.

International Research Projects:
The Institute of Education and Communication Research participates in research projects within the CEEPUS III network of international academic mobility. Among our flagship projects are:
  • HR-1005 Educational Systems in Central Europe,
  • HU-0028 Active Methods in Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Informatics,
  • HU-1109 Teaching Foreign Languages for Dyslexic Learners in Lower and Higher Education (umbrella network).
International Mobility:
Following the internationalization policy, we intend to expand the range of opportunities for international mobility of students and academic staff. We also develop our study programmes and courses in order to increase the number of foreign students at our institution. Every year the number of students wishing to study at our Institute increases, thus making our campus a diverse, multicultural environment. We hold a number of bilateral mobility contracts with universities from Spain, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. Apart from these, we have also hosted students from Kazakhstan, Brazil and Costa Rica. International cooperation is carried out in the framework of BE Mundus and Caribu, adding a new edge to our Erasmus+ activities, engaging our staff members and students alike. Students of Applied Linguistics - German B with English C programme – will have the opportunity to visit Germany on regular basis thanks to the bilateral mobility scheme with a German cultural institution – Landsmanschaft Schlesien. The project involves organizing cultural and linguistic workshops for Polish students.

Implementing the strategy of internationalisation, we undertake various initiatives to attract students to join our summer school schemes. Department of Applied Linguistics participates in the project of Summer School, offering Polish language course within a 2-week programme. Candidates will have a chance to learn Polish, broaden their knowledge of Polish traditions, institutions, and lifestyle. More information on the Summer School of Polish can be found on the Institute website:
