Study Programme – Pedagogy

Bachelor Degree – Course Description

Pedagogical studies include BA and MA study programmes for pre-school and early school education, with special needs education components, such as revalidation pedagogy with IT in special needs education and complex rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities (Oligophrenic Pedagogy), and in surdopedagogy (education of individuals with various types of hearing impairments). Moreover, students may choose educational therapy including early support in child’s development and educational therapy with elements of neuroeducation. The practical profile is ensured by an extended range of professional training classes, which results in educating a competent specialist, who possesses vast knowledge of methodical tools enabling professional performance of teachers, pedagogues and therapists. Study programmes focus on pragmatic issues that prepare students for labour market. An integral part of study is a 3-month long vocational internship providing an insight into the professional reality.

The language of instruction is mostly Polish.

Study Programme – Applied Linguistics

Bachelor Degree – Course Description

The Department of Applied Linguistics offers the following programs: first-degree regular studies - English B with additional Italian or Spanish C; French B/German B with additional English C. They combine intensive language B and C learning with extensive studies of linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, translation and intercultural communication. Students will develop advanced spoken and written skills of language B (on C1 Level) and C (on B2 level), well-developed interpersonal communication skills, and will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of core economic and science issues.

Core modules allow students to gain a high level of training in humanities, build their language competence and obtain linguistic foundation for their future career as translators, interpreters and international business professionals. The modules for the specialization of business and translation comprise a variety of courses in language B and C for special professional context, business correspondence and business translation. Additionally, students may apply to take part in Erasmus+ programs, which give them a unique opportunity to study at our partner universities for one semester.
