• determination of micro- and macro-elements in various matrices (food, soil, waters)

Department of Chemical Organic Technology and Petrochemistry’s technological and research offer includes the following fields of research:
• development of synthesis and purification procedures of organic substances, such as catalytic and non-catalytic oxidation of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons and polyolefins; processes involving ionic liquids; phase transfer catalysis applications; synthesis and study of properties of organic peroxy compounds;
• development of chemical technologies applicable for fine chemicals;
• industrial organocatalytic processes;
• absorption of CO2 from industrial gases;
• processes involving CO2 as a chemical reagent;
• laboratory scale studies on high-pressure synthesis;
• determination of thermal effects of chemical and physical processes with real-time calorimetry (RTCal);
• determination of reaction course with in-situ real-time FT-IR spectrometry;
• identification and structure determination of organic compounds with chromatographic and spectrometric techniques (GC-MS, UPLC-MS, HR-MS, NMR, FT-IR);
• quantitative and qualitative analysis and development of analytical protocols for organic compounds (GC, HPLC, UPLC, GS-MS, UPLC-MS, polarimetry, UV-Vis, NMR);
• analytical enantiomers separation using chromatographic techniques;
• studies on the use of laboratory scale synthesis of ionic liquids;

• use of computer methods in process simulation;
• determination of optical purity using chromatography or polarimetry;
